Lynda Ballen
Lynda Ballen is a South African visual artist and educator based in Johannesburg. She is best known for her detailed drawings and prints which often highlight her respect for global traditions of craftsmanship coupled with a desire to recognize raw materials as precious. Her work often examines how natural resources and indigenous knowledge systems have been commodified.
