Quinten Edward Williams Featured in Art South Africa

Quinten Edward William’s solo exhibition Painterly Accumulations Off The Wall features in the latest (December 2014) issue of Art South Africa

William’s exhibition/installation, which took place at David Krut Projects (Parkwood) earlier this year, included paintings, wood, plastic and sundries – combinations concerned with a handling of material and process in an extended condition of painting.

Alexander Opper sums up his two page review of Williams in Art South Africa with the following: “In Painterly Accumulations he (Williams) proves himself a highly skilled reader and translator of the complex and continually shifting special relationships constituting the early 21st century condition of being.”

For the full (and glowing!) review, check out the December issue of Art South Africa, pages 71-72.

Williams continues to work with the David Krut Print Workshop, experimenting with various forms of printmaking, including monotypes and etching.
