Below are images from the opening reception of Locust Jones‘ exhibition, Burn Freeze.
Despite New York still being trapped in a frozen-spell – perfect weather to accompany the exhibition’s title – there was a good turnout, and there were many insightful compliments about the work and the transformation of the space.
Locust’s work summermurderer, the ten-metre long drawing, was hung to span the length of the longest wall. This configuration presents the work more concisely as a scrolling panorama of imagery. Many visitors told us that they were pleasantly intrigued by the rolls at the ends, which allowed for them to imagine the ongoing imagery.
