Haroon Gunn-Salie recently completed a triptych of monotypes entitled Place of Gold with embossing at David Krut Print Workshop (DKW). Below are images of Gunn-Salie working on the press with printmaker Neo Hlasko. The works are currently on show at David Krut Projects, 142 Jan Smuts Avenue.
Gunn-Salie is an artist based in Cape Town and Johannesburg. He completed a BA Hons in sculpture at UCT’s Michaelis School of Fine Art in 2012. Gunn-Salie’s collaborative art practice translates community oral histories into artistic interventions and experiential installations. The artist’s multidisciplinary practice focuses on forms of collaboration in contemporary art based on dialogue and exchange.
