Dare I Leap? II, 2008
This image started as a single plate drypoint image that evolved into a series of 6 separatee editions from 4 original plates. Each edition is printed in different combinations of plates and colours. The first plate of Flux began as the 107 Workshop in the UK. The plate was not completed and was brought back to Johannesburg to complete. In August 2008, Master Printer Phil Sanders from the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in NY was in JHB working with printmakers and artists at DKW and the singles plate drypoint developed into the Flux series.
In 2025 some of the unique proofs created while developing the various plates were signed as unique, once off prints.
