Overlap

This print was made at around the same time as Nose 5 and the L’Inesorabile Avanzata suite of prints, which also use an appropriated newspaper format, fragmented to suggest pictures and text columns and interspersed with snippets of imagery. Overlap was created on a found plate from Kentridge’s studio that already had a spraypaint aquatint etched into it, visible int he background.
