Firstlight, 2012

This print was created at the David Krut Workshop in conjunction with NIROXprojects for a solo exhibition titled New Work in 2012.

This series of prints – Firstlight, Secondlight and Thirdlight – focus on fading and ephemeral moments that exhibit exquisite poise and beauty. Slemon has created works that attempt to trace the movement of light through a physical space. These sights are moments of fading beauty which are intensely subjective and, by their definition, short-lived, which is what brings poignancy to these artworks.
