New York, April 2025 – David Krut Projects (DKP) recently had the pleasure of participating at the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair in Brooklyn, New York. The fair has become known as a dynamic and inclusive gathering of printmakers, collectors, curators, and artists.

This year’s fair was hosted at the Powerhouse Arts Centre in New York where independent printshops, print-oriented galleries, institutional printmaking programs (like those of the Pratt Institute and Hunter College) and other high-profile publishers including Two Palms were able to share and exhibit their passion for art and the connections it forges through process, appreciation and knowledge.

We were thrilled to present a curated selection of prints by artists who have collaborated at the David Krut Workshop in Johannesburg. Our exhibition included works by internationally acclaimed artist William Kentridge. Sharing the platform were exciting contemporary voices such as Boemo Diale, Peter Cohen, Maja Maljevic, Stephen Langa, Phumulani Ntuli, and Mary Sibande. The David Krut Projects booth also featured prints by international artists including Aïda Muluneh, James Siena, and Lauren Krukowski, highlighting the global scope of our collaborations.

The installation proudly featured works by South African artists Boemo Diale, Mary Sibande, Maja Maljević and Peter Cohen.

The fair was a valuable opportunity to connect with an engaged and diverse audience, including emerging and established collectors, museum curators, institutional directors, artists, and colleagues from print studios around the globe. The David Krut Projects team greatly appreciated the opportunity to connect with peers and to engage in meaningful conversations with print enthusiasts about the intricate practices and narratives behind every work. Notably, Master printer Phil Sanders delivered insightful talks on the art of printmaking and the importance of collaboration, offering visitors deeper and well-informed perspectives on the works on display.

David Krut Projects’ participation in the art fair was made possible through close collaboration between Johannesburg-based DKP Director, Ame Bell, and her New York team, Masha Marchenko and McKenna Meskan. Together, the team collaborates with David Krut promoting South African artists to international audiences.

We are incredibly grateful for the warm reception of Luther Davis, director of Powerhouse Arts’s silkscreen printshop as well as Ann Shafer and Brian Miller of Fine Arts Baltimore and the overall interest shown by visitors. We look forward to continuing to build our global connections through the collaborations in our workshop”: Says Bell
