David Krut Projects and Jonathan Ball Publishers collaborated to host a conversation between artist/photographer Roger Ballen and freelance journalist Tymon Smith hosted on Instagram LIVE on April 22, 2020. This was day 25 of #Lockdown in Johannesburg South Africa owing to the global pandemic of COVID-19. The two spoke about Roger’s biographical history, the evolution of his work, his 2019/2020 exhibition at the Halle Saint Pierre, the new publication ‘The World According to Roger Ballen‘ – available from the David Krut Bookstore – and Roger’s plans for opening a new photography centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
