David Krut Projects, in partnership with Goodman Gallery, invites you to attend a conversation between Mikhael Subotzky and Phil Sanders, to be moderated by Bronwyn Law-Viljoen, in which the artist and master printer will discuss their recent collaboration at the David Krut Workshop.
The collaboration marks Subotzky’s first foray into the printmaking medium – physically combining his photographic work with drawing and continuing the artist’s explorations of whiteness and male privilege, as per his recent, critically acclaimed film WYE (2016), which showed at Goodman Gallery earlier this year. The brand new series of prints under discussion evolved from a desire to layer images, utilising the techniques of Photogravure, digital chine collé and monotype.
