Helder Torrao is a fifth-generation Portuguese carpenter based in Cape Town. He creates wonderfully varied and beautiful custom work through an intimate understanding of materials and processes.
David Krut Projects’ commitment to local initiatives in design, the arts and related education led to Torrao joining us at the 2011 Design Indaba where his custom made plan chests were on display at the DKP stand. These can be made in variable sizes from shutter ply wood.
