Politics without Principle, 2016

This work is one from a series of seven miniature etchings completed independently by Diane Victor in 2016 and titled Seven Social Sins. These intricately detailed drypoints are based on Mahatma Gandhi’s ‘Seven Social Sins,’ which he published in his weekly newspaper ‘Young India’ in 1925.

In characteristic fashion, Victor recasts these ideas for twenty-first century South Africa.
