About the work:
Opening the Mouth…
For over nine millennia the cat we call the domestic cat has, genetically speaking, gone virtually unchanged. If you ever wonder, as I do, how that first contact between human and cat was made you need look no further than the present. Both cat and human choosing to cross that threshold, a tacit agreement made; your company for mine.
There once was a cat called Mau,
It was sacred but no holy cow.
Now, she’s been living ‘right here’,
For more than two years.
I call her Andromeda and bow.
