Amaranthine, 2015
This image was created with Fritsch’s father’s 20th century jeweler’s electric dremel. Such fine, delicate marks are not usually achieved with traditional drypoint tools. Fritsch hung the dremel from its cord and allowed the spinning of the dremel to create the mark for him, thus the circular pattern found on this plate. This image was printed using Gamblin Portland Cool Black etching ink.
