Diane Victor in New York, part II

Diane Victor has been working with printer Johee Kim at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop. Miranda Leighfield from David Krut Projects New York has been observing and documenting the project. She has written, “Over the past week Diane has worked further on the one drypoint plate and today Johee steel faced the plate ready for proofing.”

“Victor has been working on a second plate which is an shaped etching of a crocodile with a woman in fetal position lying on the reptile’s back. She holds a hand to her mouth hushing herself and her audience, keeping ever so still so as not to disturb the dangerous creature, who is restrained by nothing more than a flimsy piece of cotton around its jaw.”
